Video of Neal Boortz on C-SPAN
August 24, 2005 · Filed under: Interviews, Media Citings
Todd at Dangerous Liberty points out an online video of Neal Boortz’s Sunday morning appearance on C-SPAN. RealPlayer required.
When I clicked on the link, I get an error “rtsp is not a registered protocol.” If anybody’s got a copy of the video or a suggestion for how to fix this problem, please contact me.
UPDATE: Wow, I just watched it, and it’s terrific. Highly recommended! I wasn’t able to figure out how to download a copy for safekeeping, but I hope someone out there has done so.

Josh,
The link works for me. Are you using a recent version of Real Player? I’d like it if CSPAN archived in WMV or QT, because RealPlayer is a bloated piece o junk.
Update (or re-install) real player and see if that fixes things for you.
PS: I’ve had a similar problem with a previous install of RP and winXP - where rtsp hyperlinks wouldn’t load Real Player. If you right click and copy the shortcut, then open Real Player and CTRL+O, you can paste the link in there and get the video.
PPS: I’d like to blog for the fair tax, too. I’ve got a good one I’m working on right now - Our Government’s Income Tax System is Fundamentally Immoral.
Your suggestion (to paste the link in directly to RealPlayer) worked beautifully, Todd. So far I’m five minutes into the program and it’s terrific. Thank you!
You are dealing with a well known issue, I think I recall the last I hunted around, the general consensus was to get the latest version of Real Player.
Actually, I’ve been using a version I downloaded freshly yesterday.
Well then, real player just sucks. I tried that too, but it was some time ago and since then have had my HDD crash and burn and installed a fresh OS, so it works for me. For now.
Josh, I downloaded Boortz. Right click here and choose ’save as’.
If that subdomain isn’t working yet, try this one

I did a yahoo search “booktv.org” and found it with the first search result. good luck
