Libertarian Party Debates Endorsing FairTax

August 30, 2005  ·  Filed under: Political Support

The Libertarian Party is debating whether or not the FairTax bill warrants their endorsement.

A key bone of contention is whether the bill is pristine enough to meet their impeccable standards or whether they should just stick to promoting, say, the legalization of marijuana. ;-)

  1. Marijuana decriminalization, whereas important, has become a black eye for the LP. The party has made little gain on the issue and critics use it as a way to discredit the party as a whole.
Taking a stand on the CAPITALIST principles of the party could launch it back into legitimacy.
