Bush Economic Advisor Al Hubbard on Boortz Show
FairTax supporter Larry Melton reports the following:
I was listening to the end of Neal Boortz’ radio show and he had Al Hubbard on, the President’s economic advisor.
Neal asked Al if Al had heard of the FairTax and Al said yes, that it was a plan that should seriously be considered and that the President’s Tax Panel was looking at it...well that’s nothing new but Neal then asked him if he felt the American people were ready for sweeping tax reform and Al said yes, the people are fed up with our current system, they can’t fill out their own tax returns, they can’t trust that they are being treated fairly by those who do and that the tax code is too complicated.
Additional evidence that the FairTax is starting to be taken seriously in Washington.
Hubbard’s official title is “Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director, National Economic Council.” Bet you already knew that, though. ![]()
