Explosion of Interest in the FairTax on the Internet

September 14, 2005  ·  Filed under: Public Support

Last month I noted there had been about 2,800 searches for information about the FairTax (using the terms “fairtax” or “fair tax”) on Overture’s partner sites during the month of July.

Well, in August there were over six times as many searches for those same keywords:

fair tax – 12,540 searches
fairtax – 7,165 searches
fair tax book – 2,604 searches
fairtax book – 723 searches

It will be interesting to see whether these figures continue to go up in future months, or whether they’ve peaked. (My hunch is that next month’s numbers may reveal that Katrina has stolen a bit of the thunder lately.)

I’ll post another update when the stats come out next month.
