FairTax Results in Atlanta Primaries? 85% Support!
Neal Boortz reports that the FairTax was on the primary ballots for all three metro Atlanta counties yesterday. The verdict? Eighty-five percent support.
Wow.

Joshua, the last commenter should also be reminded that the FairTax is the only tax reform that totally untaxes the poor. No more embedded taxes. No more payroll taxes, they get the prebate check and no more having to possibly pay someone to fill out a complicated tax form of today’s system.
We’re all excited about the primary results. Great stuff...
I was impressed by how many people went to the polls once they knew that the FairTax would be on the ballot.
From the Boortz website, July 21:
“Emails I received from listeners are now being circulated among the Beltway power brokers. These were emails I received from people who said that they had no intention of even voting in the primary until they heard me say that the FairTax was on the ballot. One listener wrote to tell me that he and his wife were returning home from the dentist. The dentist had just yanked all of her wisdom teeth. Let’s just say that she wasn’t feeling all that well, but when she heard that the FairTax was on the ballot she insisted that they stop by to vote before going home.”

There’s a new movie out about the IRS. Check it out here...

I thought that the FairTax was only an item on the Libertarian candidates’ agenda in GA? Is it now going to be adopted by everybody?
There are more than 3 counties in Metro Atlanta. The question appeared on the Republican Primary Ballot in Gwinnett, Cobb and Fayette county. All 3 counties had between 85-87% approval. I intend to introduce a platform statement at the GOP State Convention in May 2007 in support of the FairTax. but it is not currently on the platform. I spoke with several members of the State Committee and I am fairly certain it will be introduced.
I have sent email to Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert reporting the results of the recent vote in Georgia and advising him that I will be in Orlando on Saturday with thousands of my best friends at a rally in support of FairTax.
It’s time to light some fires. Make sure YOUR Congressman and Senator’s know. Our current tax system is hopelessly broken; It is time to bring FairTax out of Committee!!!
Thanks for the link, Mr. Weathers! I’ve seen the movie twice. The IRS and the Federal Reserve are joined at the hip and it is time to get rid of BOTH of them!
Hey all you fair taxer’s:
The federal reserve (i.e. the monetary system) is the problem. The IRS is one of MANY symptoms of the problem. The Fair Tax is a shell game to mask the problem, rather than a real solution to deal with the real problem.
This is why I oppose the fair tax. I would prefer to see the real problem exposed for what it is.
I would love to get advice on how I, as an individual, can help to get this Fair Tax proposal passed. Did my federal and state taxes yesterday, which took, oh , about 3 hrs to do and then wrote checks totalling about $400 to this gov’t. I make less than $18,000 a year!!!! Yes, I CRIED!!!! Thank God I have no children, as my frustration was only a fraction of what I imagine singles mothers all over the country are going through. This is ridiculous. I am poor, and my gov’t wants to make sure I stay that way, if not worse. Please tell me what the best means of activism I need to take to help make more of the public aware of the fair tax proposal (have read the book and what a simple but GENIUS idea that really can work) and get this brilliant policy into actiona!!!
